In 2006 my husband and I decided to make a change and move to the Southeast. It would be either North Carolina or Tennessee. Checking into property taxes, we settled on finding a place within the Volunteer State. After looking at the four larger cities Memphis, Chattanooga, Knoxville and Nashville, we decided a smaller town would be more to our liking. We were on I-40 headed back home to Ohio when my husband spotted a billboard which read “Crossville - Golf Capital of Tennessee.” That was all it took to exit the freeway and do some exploring.
Crossville became home for the next 14 years until my life’s path took me in another direction. I now live south of Nashville and totally enjoy the South. Last weekend I traveled back to Crossville to visit one of my last friends remaining in the Golf Capital of Tennessee. She soon will 8be relocating to California to be close to her children.
Here are a few pictures I took while visiting. Crossville is truly a pleasant town located on the Cumberland Plateau with much to offer.
